                                                          Tips for Ordering Seines

When ordering seines use the grading chart to select the correct mesh size. When figuring the length, the rule of thumb is to order the seine 1/3 longer than the widest point you plan to seine. The same applies to the depth, the seine should be approximately 1/3 deeper than the maximum depth of the water. These are only tips to help you to order the correct size seine for your needs and may not apply to all situations.

 
NO. 15 NYLON DRAG SEINE  -  TREATED

Perfect for small ponds or commercial seining lakes and rivers. These seines are made with 100% nylon netting and are treated in netcoat. They come ready to use with the appropriate floats and leads. Floats are every 24" and leads are every 16".

    Bags for NO. 15 and Small Mesh Seines

    (Sometimes called a pocket)  

A bag us a box-shaped section of net. Bags are generally made the full depth of the seine and usually located in the center of the seine. As a seine is being pulled through the water, the fish are herded toward the center of the net. When landing large catches of fish, a center bag will improve the efficiency of your seine. NOTE: Bags will automatically have leads and floats across the mouth (opening). The following chart is for convenience of customers who would like to know the cost of seines with bags.
